Managed by Sport Northland, the successful award-winning Top Energy WaterSafe programme has been running in the Far and Mid North for the over last 25 years.

The aim of WaterSafe is to raise the water safety and swim-to-survive skills of primary and intermediate-aged children and provide teachers with the confidence to deliver these skills through comprehensive programmes. The outcome is to achieve zero preventable drownings and reduce the number of hospitalisations due to near drownings in Northland, through embedding water safety skills as a life skill to our tamariki.

These FREE programmes are available for Year 1 to Year 8 school children in Northland. See the Sport Northland website to find out more.
