Top Energy Coach is a new local initiative designed to help Far North households stay warm and reduce their power bills—especially through the colder winter months.
Recognising the value of an in-home energy coaching service, Top Energy is committed to ensuring local households would continue to receive this support since the conclusion of the Energymate programme.
To make this possible, Top Energy has partnered with two trusted community organisations:
- Te Pūtahi‑Nui‑o‑Rēhua, based in Kaikohe, who bring prior experience in delivering successful in‑home energy coaching, and
- CBEC, based in Kaitaia, who have extensive expertise delivering the Healthy Homes programme across Tai Tokerau.
Top Energy Coach is a pilot programme currently only offered in Kaitaia and Kaikohe townships.
By completing this form you will engage a Top Energy Coach to book in an in-home energy coaching session.
This session will take about an hour.
The Energy Coach will cover:
- Ways to save power in the home
- Ways to keep the home efficiently heated
- A power bill check to make sure you aren't paying higher rates than you should be.
- If you are a homeowner, the Energy Coach will check if a Healthy Homes Tai Tokerau referral is required for heating or insulation
