Engineering Scholarship Programme Online Application

 

The Top Energy Scholarship Programme provides $8,000 for a Far North student to study engineering, or who is already enrolled in, a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), majoring in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering.

The programme is for students enrolled, or intending to study at the beginning of the year
following application, at the Universities of Auckland or Canterbury, and will cover:

•$8,000 per year of study (to a maximum of 4 years),

• Relevant holiday work where possible

Subject to successful completion of the relevant degree, Top Energy may offer permanant employment.

Contact Details

  • Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand and who
    normally resides in the Far North.
  • Currently studying for a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), or
  • Be a school leaver intending to enrol in a four year Bachelor of Engineering degree (Honours), majoring in Civil, Electronic or Mechanical at the Universities of Canterbury or Auckland
  • Have achieved high academic success (performed well in NCEA Level 3, IB or Cambridge examinations or first year engineering degree exams).

  • Academic ability based on results in either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd years of study, or,
    if still at school, your latest academic record.
  • Cultural and sporting participation and achievement
  • Community service and school contribution
  • General character
  • Motivation to study and succeed

Applications must be accompanied by:

Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by a judging panel and the successful
candidate selected. There will be no further discussion once the decision has
been made.

The deadline for your submission is 31 October 2016. The winner will be
announced on Friday 11 November 2016.
