The construction of two new geothermal power stations at the existing Ngawha site will produce electricity as well as a heat resource, which could be utilised in complementary business development opportunities (e.g. wood processing, dairy milk processing, horticulture and aquaculture). It is expected that these types of businesses could create a significant number of new jobs in the Kaikohe area.
Although Top Energy cannot guarantee job creation, it can commit to working closely with Te Runanga A Iwi O Ngapuhi, individual businesses, FNDC and Northland’s economic development agency (Northland Inc.) to develop opportunities that utilise the energy resources provided by the new Ngawha power stations.
If your organisation has identified a commercial opportunity for leveraging the energy resources that will be produced by the new power stations, please send a brief business case to us via our Contact us page.
